The annual Burghwallis service to commemorate those in the armed forces (and others) who have fallen in the course of serving our country and preserving our freedom has once again had to be restructured due to Covid restrictions which limit the usual assembly around the war memorial.
Following the same format as last year, the service will be held in the Playing Field opposite the War Memorial.
The service will be led by the Rev. Chris Herbert and will feature a field altar, with musical accompaniment provided by a bugler from the British Legion and Fr. Chris’s sound system – hidden in his cassock.
