MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 14^TH DECEMBER 2021

An updated presentation was given to the Parish Council about the new website.

More updates to be completed before it goes live.  Individual meetings needed with Councillors & Clerk in January

Chairman’s opening remarks and Declarations of interest

It was reported Councillor Rob Lomas had sadly passed away since the last meeting.

There will be a tribute on the Parish Council Website: www.burghwallis.org.uk

The Vacancy will be advertised in the church Magazine, Website & Noticeboard.

RESOLVED that the minutes be signed.  1 small correction

• Matters arising from the minutes 
• Playing Field Repairs – Awaiting repairs when materials are available, to chase again                                                                                Action: DMBC
• Speed Sign –Awaiting Police report from previous meeting
• Defibrillator Maintenance – An invoice to be sent to the Parish Council for payment of the new pads.

• Financial Matters

400362 – £190 Mr Hudson Christmas Tree

400363 – £12.45 Mrs Grimes Expenses

RESOLVED that the accounts payable be approved and the cheques and bank statement signed.

A budget for 2022/23 will be prepared for the next meeting   Action: JH

• Playing field/Pinfold

Fallen leaves have mostly been cleared up.

Playground repairs still not completed.

Arch over the gate is rotting and need replacing.  Councillor Grimes would look into this                                                                                                   Action: BG

• Poor’s Field

No problems with the field reported.  Annual rental payment had been received.

31 people booked for this year’s Christmas lunch.  16^th December. 

Raffle tickets and Prizes are ready.  Farther Chris would be attending.

Emails all circulated & dealt with accordingly.

• Website

Currently being upgraded. The old website is still in use.

New Matters/Any Other Business                         

24-hour notice for closure of the park gate at Christmas would be displayed.

The next meeting to be held at The Burghwallis Public House commencing at 7pm.
