DMBC have today announced that green bin collections will be suspended with effect from this weekend, and will not re-start until next March. Owing to the number of staff affected by Covid-19 resources are being concentrated on clearing blue and black bins.
So, lads and lassies, this means all those leaves and the last of the pruning you have popped into your green wheelie bin is going to stop there for quite a while. We are back to bagging up the waste and potentially queuing for hours to get into the tip at Carcroft, unless you were lucky enough to get all your garden clearing done already!
