MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 18^TH MARCH 2025

RESOLVED to accept

• Minutes of the meeting held on 21^st January 2025

RESOLVED that the minutes be signed. 

• Matters arising from the minutes.
• Repairs to the notice board are waiting to be completed.
• Trees and branches were reported on Abbes Walk causing power lines to go out.  Some trees look dead near Squirrel Wood.

RESOLVED to contact Doncaster again regarding land ownership

• The Community Engagement Meeting was held on 27^th January 2025

Reporting on:

1. Surveillance cameras around the village for fly tipping
2. Anti-Social behaviour in the village
3. Flooding on Abbes Walk, maintenance on the streams, culverts across Grange Lane and Drainage from Abbes into the stream.
4. More Litter bins around the village
5. Fly Tipping in general around the village.  This was reported on a regular basis. 

The next meeting – 31.03.25 in Bentley

• Great British Spring Clean to be held on Saturday 22^nd & 29^th at 10am at Squirrel Wood.  Advertised in the Church Magazine, on the notice Board and on Facebook friends of Burghwallis.
• 20 Poppies for Remembrance Day in November have been ordered to be displayed on the lampposts around the village.
• Yellow Lines were refused as no parking issues were seen near the War Memorial.
• New Village Flags are now up and much better being smaller to avoid damage.

RESOLVED that the accounts be approved, cheques and bank statement signed.

No objections received.

All Circulated

• Website

Up to date.

A discussion took place with regards to the website and accessibility.  Also, Burghwallis emails to be requested for each Parish Councillor

RESOLVED to contact the website manager.

A Facebook group for Parish Council news only was suggested.         Action: AW

The next meeting to be held at The Burghwallis Public House commencing at 7pm.
