Draft Parish Council Meeting Minutes Tuesday 17th September 2024

MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON TUESDAY 17^TH SEPTEMBER 2024

Chairman’s opening remarks and Declarations of interest.

Councillor Amanda Welke was co-opted onto the council after a recent meeting.

All forms were given to complete and return within 28 day requirements.

RESOLVED to accept due to commitments

• Minutes of the meeting held on 6th August 2024

RESOLVED that the minutes be signed. 

• Matters arising from the minutes.
• Repairs to the War memorial & Notice board are waiting to be completed.
• Fly tipping is reported regularly.  Councillor Grimes does a regular litter pick on areas of the village and reports any large fly tipping. Councillor Slack does the same for The Abbe’s Walk
• Christmas Tree – Councillor Grimes gave prices and 11ft at £163 was agreed on.
• Christmas Lights – with no access to electricity again, Councillor Slack would look into a battery charger for the current solar lights.
• Christmas Lunch was agreed again for this December.  Councillor Slack would negotiate a 2-course meal price and available dates.

• Financial Matters

400467 £222 CDC Playground Equipment repairs

Bank Statement & accounts reconciliation circulated.

RESOLVED that the accounts be approved, cheques and bank statement signed.

Nothing to report.

• Correspondence

Circulated

Defibrillator is all registered and working correctly under the clerk email address, on the Circuit website.

Yellow Lines near the junction with the War Memorial have been requested

A Street sign was requested on the cul-de-sac ‘Abbes Close’

The Next community engagement meeting is to be held on 30^th September at Scawthorpe Library.

British Legion will be having the remembrance service at 1pm in the Church on 10^th November.  A wreath would be given from the parish Council.  Advertising will be in the Church magazine.

Potholes were reported on Scorcher Hills Lane.
