- Minutes of the meeting held on Tuesday 16th August 2022
RESOLVED that the minutes be signed.
- Matters arising from the minutes
- Ivy to be removed around the village will be completed on Saturday 8th October, meeting at at 10am in the park. This has been removed in the past by professionals.
- Abbes Walk road surface has been reported and repairs are to be carried out imminently. Councillor White reported on the time scale of repairs and what works would be carried out.
- War Memorial – Councill Maxwell to report on repairs that are needed to the lettering at the next meeting
- Financial Matters
400394 – £90 JM Scott playing field maintenance
400395 – £709.25 Payment to Poor’s Land Charity
RESOLVED that the accounts payable be approved and the cheques and bank statement signed.
Proposed Budget to be discussed at the next meeting
- Planning
22/0154/FULM – 200 Houses
22/001692/OUTM – 160 Houses
A discussion took place with regards to the planning proposals of new houses and the impact it would have on Burghwallis. Councillor White would be in touch with any more developments.
- Playing Field/Pinfold
Playingfield maintenance payments will be transferred to the new bank account in 2 payments in the new financial year – April 2023 & September to coincide with the precept received.
- Poor’s Land
Awaiting the opening of Doncaster Archives to retrieve a copy of the constitution.
A cheque was given to Councillor Laming to bank in the new Poor’s Land Charity bank account.
Councillor Laming reported the Annual charity commission had been completed.
Councillor Laming distributed an up-to-date account balance.

Helping Hand Fund – DMBC A possible grant of up to £500 could be applied for. Councillor Grimes to follow up with a request for items relative to litter picking.

The draft new PSPO document was discussed. All agreed that it was acceptable in its current form.
An email was circulated with regards to the recent burglaries in the village. This was discussed in length and Councillor White gave details of a police officer who could attend, if invited to future meetings.
An email circulated with regards to the notice board that needs some repairs. This would be investigated.
An email was circulated with regards to the new bus services through the village.

Ongoing with updates and documents. We are awaiting a response from the developer regarding site visitor data.

The next meeting to be held at The Burghwallis Public House commencing at 7pm.
