The village flag has been lowered to acknowledge the passing of Mike Bell. Mike was a long time resident of Grange Lane Burghwallis, a member of the congregation of St Helen’s church, and an ardent cricket fan. We are a little late in recognising Mike death which occurred at the end of June. Mike is buried in the churchyard.

He passed away May 6th….not in June. God rest his soul.
